Kennewick Man is back in the news.  Scientific analysis, including isotopic analysis of the bones, indicate strongly that Kennewick Man subsisted on a marine diet, and was therefore a coastal dweller.

Further, it has been surmised that Kennewick Man is more closely related to Polynesian peoples, which is a pretty amazing discovery.

Native peoples still claim him as their own in Washington state, and wish to have his remains returned for reburial.

Kennewick Man remains a controversial issue in the scientific, legal, and cultural sphere.
